It has been so many years since I visited the parsonage, so I don’t recall the lower parts of the windows looking yellow while the upper part looked grey. Can you tell me about that, please? Is it curtains on the lower half or what? I may do a watercolor of it one day and like to be accurate. Love your photography!

The cream colour at the bottom is the painted shutters (it was early in the morning so they were closed). The grey bits at the top, I believe, are roller blinds, used to prevent sunlight damaging the exhibits during the daytime, when the shutters are open. If I were painting this scene, I’d just show the shutters, as the blinds are a modern addition.
